Fabulous statement Arts and Crafts earrings attributed to Rhoda Wager, having those trademark split leaf motifs, small tendrils and silver balls. I appreciate that there are a number of “Wager School” items out there, but these are heavy, quality earrings and the leaves are absolutely right for Rhoda Wager. They have been created / converted to silver posts and it has been done so beautifully. Even the large butterfly fasteners have been crafted by hand so they are rather unusual.

The black opal doublets are not done justice by the images at all-they are super lively! They each have tremendous fiery flashes of blues, yellow, green and red. Every slight movement sees a whole other colour shift. The stones have been wonderfully set by hand and the bezel settings are in a mille grain design. The leaves and berries arrangements on each earring are, again, superbly hand-crafted and of quality.

These make a large statement, as they each measure approx 2.1cm in height by approx 1.5cm in width. In super, read-t-wear condition, the only teeny thing to comment upon is a minute scratch/scuff on one stone. It is teeny tiny but I wanted to mention it for accuracy purposes. There is some patina on the verso.

They are glorious c1920-30 earrings, which I am sure will be loved. I will post in a new gift box (boxes in the images are for display only. Complimentary tracked and signed is included.
