Description
A beautiful Arts and Crafts ring c1930 and firmly attributed to Rhoda Wager. It is hand-crafted in silver with gold floral and foliate highlights. The black opal doublet is vibrant with much play of colour, mainly electric greens and blues with a touch of red in one spot. It is a very colourful stone with the colour play obvious without having to shift the ring around in position to “find” it.
This gorgeous ring is so very comfortable to wear, sits snugly against your finger and feels generally beautiful on the finger. The opal has a rub-over setting and the surrounding detailing is with tendrils and balls in silver, with the leaves and flowers detailing being in gold. Lovely to see so much detail having been crafted by hand with care. There is a fine double-band in silver. Not marked but is a quality ring, unlike many of the other Wager attributed rings out there. This is fine, well-designed and an eye-catching triumph with a hugely colourful opal doublet.
In pleasing condition and ready to gift or else to wear yourself, she measures as approx UK size K.5 (US 5.5). I shall send in a new ring box for her safe keeping. Special delivery within the UK is included or else internationally, I will include express courier for you. Thank you.
