This is a very impressive, black opal triplet ring with full UK hallmarks for Birmingham 1994. What a sensational black opal-I cannot even explain the colour shifts. It almost seems like several rings in one as you get groupings of colour with different positions as you move it. It is a superb example and a large one, with the stone measuring approx 2cm in length.
Beautifully crafted and ergonomically-shaped to sit comfortably on the finger, you could stare endlessly at this ring. At one point on my finger I was seeing lots of sparkly aquas and turquoises and then at another angle, it was blues and reds, then greens and oranges. If you like your black opals interesting with lots of “fire” then this is the ring for you. It is so lovely to have such a large stone too, allowing the wearer to really capitalise on those flashes of colours.
A large navette-shaped gold bezel collar keeps the stone safe and as it is slightly rounded, it sits so well on the finger. This ring is substantial and very well-made. Stamped on the inside of the band with the maker’s mark, and the UK hallmarks mentioned above. The ring measures as approx UK size O (US 7.25) and is in super condition -just polished lightly so she is ready to pop on your finger.
I will send her in a new gift box by courier internationally and by Special Delivery within the UK. Thank you.
