A wow of a late Victorian ring c1895, in a lovely gentle gold wash over silver with a statement, super sparkly faceted citrine. This is such a pretty design and is in excellent condition, especially considering its age.
The large, round citrine measures approx 1cm in diameter, so it is such a statement stone. It is a rich sunshine yellow and is incredible at catching the light- helped by the fact that has been set in an open-backed setting. It is surrounded by 20 natural seed pearls set in a halo design around the citrine. They are all individually set. The face of the ring is edged with an engraved edging in silver gilt, which enhances the warm tones of the ring, with the gold and the yellow of the stone.
A lovely sturdy band stamped simply “SILVER” on the inside. This lovely ring measures as a UK size N (approx US 6.5). It has had a light polish as I hate to overpolish these old beauties. Ready to wear or else to gift. I will send in a new gift box, as boxes in the images are for display only.
I will send by Tracked and signed for delivery. Thank you.
