This is a striking, hand-crafted collar necklace, which carries full UK hallmarks for 1986 and London. It is a structural and tactile piece of jewellery. You can shape the stalks and bend them in different angles to get a cosy fit to your neck. I adore the sculptural element that means this is not only a beautiful piece of jewellery but also an individual piece of art. It looks fabulous against many different colours and for me, the contrast against black clothing gives the collar such an opulent look.
If you love organic and naturalistic designs, this fabulous piece is for you. It is statement size and the leave’s sections sit on your clavicle area. The burnished and textured gilt finish to the silver means that you get this warm, golden appearance to the metalwork. That contrasts well with the two large, grey blister pearls set among the leaves. It is such a flattering design to wear and is guaranteed to get noticed. A gorgeous thing, which may well be a unique studio piece. There is such a hand-crafted element to the piece. Every leaf and stalk thoughtfully placed to give an attractive cluster of leaves at the front of the necklace.
It is a large piece so is very versatile in size-you simply put it on and it finds its position. As mentioned, if you would like to bend the stalks etc to get a neater fit to your particular neck, then you can do so if you’re careful. Then you will have it moulded to your exact needs.
A beautiful, vintage piece of sculptural hand-crafted jewellery, made by a silversmith in London and it has timeless appeal. It’s what you would call a classic design!
It has full UK hallmarks for sterling silver, for London, 1986 and also has the maker’s mark in a shield, although I am not able to identify them. It looks like “LM”.
I shall send in a new gift box (not the box in the images) by special delivery within the UK or else by international tracked and signed / courier. Thank you.
