Description
An incredibly pretty antique Victorian ring in high carat yellow gold, most likely 18ct. It has rubbed hallmarks but you can still see the Queen’s head section and the maker’s mark is clear….”P&S” (E V Pledge & Son who were in business c19890s in Birmingham). It is such a lovely example of this type of Victorian ring.
A non-fussy gold band, no ornate engraving and then a central section of four pearls, representing a flower, studded in the centre by a diamond. The diamond has been tested to assure authenticity. To either side of the pearl flower formation, is a trilogy of turquoise, representing the foliage. It is a very wearable design for us today and it symbolises love, eternal love and remembrance of that love.
The stones are in good condition – the only noteworthy thing is to mention that the ring has been resized to this size at some point in her life- perfect if you are a UK size K.5 / US 5.5. It sits snugly on the finger so will not snag and catch on clothes. So comfortable and easy to wear too!
I shall send in a new ring gift box by complimentary tracked and signed. Thank you.
