Description
A really pretty vintage flower ring in fully hallmarked 9ct gold, with maker’s mark. It is a really lovely design which uses four oval opals as the four petals and a round, central opal as the centre of the flower. I love how the central stone is somewhat elevated from the outer petals. It just adds a further touch of realism.
It is a substantial size so you really catch the attractiveness of the ring as you wear it. I love all of the little claws holding each stone in place as they add to the overall effect. The opals are all well-matched and shift easily from pale blue to pale green with some mauve and also flashes of green- all very difficult to capture in photos, I have discovered.
On a fairly thick and substantial band, the inside of which is stamped in several places, the first “375” indicating 9ct gold and the second batch of marks show a maker’s mark “L.A” followed by the assay office stamps for Birmingham, England 2004.
This is a very comfortable ring to wear and comes up as approx UK size N.5 (US size 7).
I shall send in its own new gift box. Ready to wear or else gift. The box in the images is for display only-thank you.
