Description
A rare design undoubtedly created by William Hair Haseler for Liberty & Co of London. This lesser seen example of the work of William H Haseler would have been crafted in his workshop in the c1900 era. To me, the design with its exquisitely fine details is reminiscent of the sun or else a sunflower. The amazonite is a lovely stone with that typical pale sea green colour we expect from amazonites. The pendant retains its original (and very easily identifiable) triangular shaped Haseler / Liberty bale.
The amazonite stone at the heart of the design is set with a fine rope work detail, around which are placed alternating features; a small stylised leaf (of the same shape you see on some other Haseler pieces) and a small hand-hammered triangular detail punctuated by a silver ball. Such exquisite and fine work-you can really appreciate how Haseler had quite the reputation for his fine craftsmanship and his superb quality of work earned him many commissions for Liberty & Co over a good number of years.
Amazonites are a heart and throat chakra stone, purporting to promote balance and peace, as well as triggering your levels of intuition. A soothing and calming stone.
In pleasing condition, both silver work and stone, I will also include the small silver chain shown in the images. The pendant drop measures approx 3.8cm, including the bale and the length of the chain is approx 46cm (18 inches). A beautifully concise pendant with exceptionally fine details.
I shall send in a necklace presentation box (not the box in the images) by complimentary Special Delivery in the UK or by courier internationally. Thank you. Ref:ctu
