Description
A beautifully executed antique Etruscan Revival necklace, with the pendant crafted in 15ct gold. It is a highly decorative piece with many lovely touches. There are white enamel details both on the swirly linking section (between the stones) and also on the flower petal halo around the central stone. The richness of the buttery yellow gold, the freshness and purity of the white and the pink of the foiled quartz stones look wonderful together.
Very typically for quality revival pieces, there are a number of graduating hinged gold tassels to the bottom of the pendant. Their articulation is fabulous to see and really make you consider the work that has been put into this antique jewel. There are 11 elements to the tassel section, with the longest link to the centre of the design. The height of the pendant is approx 6cm to the top of the bale.
The accompanying modern Italian trace chain is marked as 9ct gold. It is 18 inches in length. The pendant has been tested as 15ct gold. I am including the antique box she came to me in. I am not sure it is the original however, I would like to keep them together.
