Description
A lovely, solid and substantial antique Art Deco 18ct white gold and sapphire “more than half” eternity ring. This means that you see the sapphires on the face and down the sides of your finger with the smaller plain band part at the back for comfort. The stones are delicious-in excellent order and that lovely mid cornflower blue that really catches the light too. All too often sapphire eternity rings have very dark stones which look more of a navy blue. Here…mid cornflower blue, which does elevate the appearance of the ring against the white gold especially.
The ring has a clear, old English stamp of “18CT” to the inside of the band. The ring feels squat and substantial , as well as being extremely comfortable to wear. It is a solid piece, with beautiful stones that are all undamaged. It is a larger size than we sometimes find with antique rings-at approx UK size Q.5 (US approx 8.25). It is approx 3.5mm wide and weighs 3.5g. As mentioned, stones in pleasing condition.
