What a beauty and a complete work of art! Rich with those hugely sought-after iridescent colours such as turquoise, green, purple, gold and blue. Each glass bead was carefully crafted by hand between the years of 1926 and 1936 when the company of WMF in Germany created these beautiful pieces of jewellery. This stunning example has no less than 36 graduated glass beads and also retains the original metal spacers and clasp.
A complete style icon from the Art Deco era, this will appeal to many collectors, not least to glass collectors, as the technique for creating the beads was influenced by the glass of Tiffany and also Loetz. Fabulous to be able to wear such a beautiful thing made of glass.
The colours of the shimmers shift depending on what you are wearing and in which light you are in so I have tried to take a number of photos to show you the range of the iridescent tones. The length of the necklace is approx 45cm (17.7 inches).
