Description

A very lovely antique opal ring, having been created in the c1910-1920s era. It carries the old stamp for “9 CT” on the inside of the band itself. The opal is a nice example too, with a pale blue to orange base and fiery purple flashes on its surface…there are vivid flashes of greens and turquoise in there too. I have had these in the past in items of jewellery and have always been advised they were jelly (water) opals.

I love the decoration to either side of the bezel-set opal…just enough but not too distracting from the stone itself. I also love that typical 1920s design, as it sits snugly on the finger at a low level. Sleek and comfortable to wear. The face of the ring measures approx 1.3cm by 1.2cm.
In pleasing condition with light wear in line with her age. A fabulous opal ring, ready to wear as soon as you receive.

I shall post by special delivery within the UK or else by international Royal Mail service. Please note the ring boxes in the images are not always included, however I will send in a new gift ring box to protect the piece. Thank you.
