Description
A phenomenal example of how right some of these 1800 Austro-Hungarian bracelets can be. This one is a striking example and shows us how effectively the silver gilt finish can be used to highlight selected stones. These “glowing” chrysoprase stones are wonderful. They are domed and catch the light easily. I love the way that four have been set on the central panel around the large baroque pearl.
The central pearl is huge and has that super greyish to white colour, which works so well with the green stones too. This lovely antique bracelet must have been very well cared for , as there is still a large amount of gilt visible. This usually rubs a lot with other examples I have come across. However, still vibrant here. Also, rather unusually, all stones are in excellent order too.
There is an “800” mark next to a tiny Austrian maker’s mark, which I just can’t decipher. A beautiful bracelet, superbly well executed, with those touches we love, such as, the invisible catch set with its own chrysoprase, to continue the design when worn. I love this bracelet!
In excellent order-I will not polish or clean and will leave it as is, for you. It measures approx 19cm (7.5 inches) in wearable length. This is one for collectors or for someone who has been waiting for a particularly beautiful, striking Austro Hungarian bracelet-this one is for you!
She will be boxed (not the box in the images) and sent by Tracked and Signed post. Please note I am not currently sending to Germany.
