Description
A beautiful and fairly substantial Edwardian gold and turquoise bracelet. The gold chain sections are much more robust than some of the daintier antique bracelets you find. Such a pretty bracelet and I love the additional drop, which means there are 7 turquoise stones in all.
Turquoise was used in antique jewellery as a reference to everlasting love. The idea being that the colour of the gemstone resembled the colour of the forget-me-not flower. I love the natural shade differences in how turquoise ages, with some stones more of a blue hue and some with a slight green hue. Such beautiful variations.
An elegant and attractive bracelet to wear too, so it is a gorgeous thing all round. It measures approx 20cm (8 inches) in length and has had a clasp replacement at some point in her life. In pleasing condition.
I will send her in a new gift bracelet box by Special Delivery within the UK or else by international express courier to global destinations. Thank you.
