Description

A rare and lovely, long Celadon jade necklace with graduating stones, all linked with individual sterling silver links running through the beads and connected by hand to each other. Very much a late 1920s Art Deco piece, when jade really was a favourited material in jewellery. Unusually this is Celadon jade, having that lovely pale sea green to grey colour. No less than 86 beads in total.

It is a long necklace and so unusual being crafted in silver, instead of the usual hand-knotted fabric. It is much more stable and feels incredibly strong.  The colour is wonderful and looks much more uniform in person, than it does in some photos near the light source. The smallest beads are at the clasp (back of the neck and they graduate to beads of approx 9mm in diameter at the front. As it is such a long example-you can wear as a near-sautoir or else double as in the images. Just a beautiful colour and for anyone who loves jade, perhaps you don’t have any Celadon-coloured jade in your collection. A great example to have -those beads feel amazing next to your skin.

The necklace measures approx 100cm (39.5 inches) so is a beauty of a thing. 86 beads all in total and all are in excellent condition. I shall post in a new necklace gift box (boxes in images are for display only). Complimentary tracked and signed for post is included. Thank you.
