A gorgeous riviere panel necklace with hand-set faceted, rich Madeira citrine stones in their own gold collars. This graduated citrines riviere section necklace dates from the c1900 era. You can really tell when you see the rich depth to these wonderful Madeira citrines, dark orange, catching the light so beautifully.
This necklace makes such an elegant statement as the proportions are exquisite. Lovely to see so many stones on the front of the neck section – 15 in all. Each stone is original to the necklace and there is no damage…hurrah. The rich combination of the 9ct yellow gold along with these lovely stones, gives such an incredible warmth to the piece. Each stone is linked to the next and it moves sinuously and drapes fabulously on the neck.
The largest stone measures approx 1.1cm in height and the necklace length is approx 43cm (17 inches). In excellent condition, clearly with a replaced loop and catch, which makes it secure to wear for us today. A lovely thing!
