Description
A beautiful, diminutive c1900 pansy pendant of sweet proportions, which may just provide that “something old” and “something blue” for someone. Small she may be, but she packs a potent design punch. The vivid blue to green enamelling is in excellent order and I love the silver petal framework you see within the enamelling. All intact, including the enamelling to the verso, which would most likely have been done to give added stability to the piece.
As was usually the case with Arts and Crafts / Art Nouveau pendants of the c1900 era, it has a pearl drop, in this case a wing pearl, suspended below the main enamelled flower. The original double chains are retained and it is ready or you to thread one of your own fine chains through the bale. The chain I have used in one of the photos is not included in the listing.
The pendant measures approx 5cm in height from the top of the bale to the bottom of the pearl drop.
No markings (as you would expect for antique A&C) but is sterling silver throughout.
