Lovely to find a matching set still together. Here we have a vintage c1920-30 Arts and Crafts silver gilt festoon necklace with flower head panels and hand-set faceted citrines in open-back collet settings. It is a very attractive design with four festoon chains suspended under the main chain of the necklace. Fabulous drop earrings using the same flower head motif and citrines. It is a light, bright and pleasing set.
I love the three petalled flower design which appears in the plaques either side of the citrines. I also adore the double links in the main section of the necklace as it just adds another touch of something different. The earrings start with a bright faceted citrine near the lobe and then have the same citrine panel flanked by the three-petalled flower motif. I love that the citrines used in both the necklace and the earrings are all beautifully-cut, with a range of slightly different tones of citrine. The earrings are well-matched in their pair, which is lovely.
In pleasing condition with only one teeny nibble (if you can call it that) off an edge of one citrine-only visible under intense scrutiny with a strong magnification loupe. The earrings measure approx 4.2cm in height and the necklace measures approx 38cm (15 inches) in length.
