A fabulous antique Edwardian necklace, rather rare because of the two sizeable zircons used in the drop section of the lavalier. It is not often at all that you come across zircons in antique pieces but when they appear, it is always a delight. These stones are impressive, as they are larger than one usually finds in pendants of this type. You could call this a Toi et Moi lavalier as there are two stones, the stone at the end of the drop, being larger in size than the stone above it. This adds a fine balance to the piece-a simple design with that knife-edge gold link, connecting the two stones.
I actually have a zircon Toi et Moi ring for sale too, which would look fabulous with this ring-they would be a beautiful pairing. Zircons are fabulously joyful stones that throw the light around easily from their facets. They also have that characteristic intense blue colour, which is simply so striking.
I am including a more modern 9ct gold trace chain with the pendant so that it is ready to be worn or else gifted to a lucky recipient. Conveniently the chain has a gold safety chain with it too, so that it offers you that extra security when wearing the piece. In pleasing condition with only light wear to the stones; the top stone measures approx 8mm in diameter and the bottom stone measures approx 9mm in diameter. The chain is 42.5cm (16.75 inches) in length. The pendant drop is approx 4.4cm.
