Description
An antique late Georgian / Victorian ring from the 1800s. It features a centrally set diamond and has a decorative daisy halo with another six diamond chips. The daisy design was particularly popular in the 1800s as it represented, purity, innocence and new beginnings. Hence, it was used as an engagement offering by many.
As was typical, this ring has the diamond chips set in white metal, silver, to show the stones off as much as possible. There is a lovely substantial 18ct gold band with additional leaves details on the shoulder. This is an attractive feature. No markings (as you often find with antique rings of this age) but tested as 18ct yellow gold.
It is a largeish size, measuring as approx Q.5 (US 8.25).
The face of the ring measures approx 1.4cm in diameter. It weighs approx 5.4g.
In pleasing condition and ready to wear.
Please note the box in the images is not included but I shall send in a new gift ring box, to protect her well. Postage is included-special delivery within the UK or else international tracked and signed. Thank you.
