Description
An antique Art Deco c1930 full eternity ring with 24 precious stones in all, 12 diamonds and 12 rubies. This design is one of the most beautiful combinations with the 12 round, bright, transitional cut diamonds being claw set and the 12 baguette cut rubies being channel set. I love, love, love how there are groupings of three diamonds and then three rubies so that you get that pretty effect all the way around the ring. The ring is also stamped for platinum and has an etched design to both edges.
Such a useful and significant type of ring, as these eternity rings can be gifted and worn as a love token, alongside a wedding ring or else can be used as part of a stacking arrangement. Significant that there are 12 of each stone-reinforcing the idea of constant love, ie, 12 months a year. A lovely “hidden” symbol.
The ring has even more sparkle now than the images show, as I have just had it polished. It is in pleasing condition, with the merest nibble from the edge of one ruby visible under intense scrutiny with a jeweller’s loupe. This is of course not visible with the naked eye. As said-it is in pleasing condition for its age. Please note that it is the diamond and ruby ring in the photos, where I have demonstrated a stacking arrangement. The antique all diamond Art Deco ring is also for sale separately.
The width of the ring is approx 2mm. The ring measures as approx UK size L (US 5.5). As it is a full eternity ring with stones running all the way around, it can not be resized. It has a “PLAT” stamp and a serial number.
I shall send in a new gift box by complimentary international tracked and signed of else by special delivery within the UK. Box in the images is for display only, thank you.
