Description
A beautiful, diminutive piece of design which is proof of the old adage “the best things come in small packages”. Adapted from what may have been the smallest buckle I have ever come across-this concentrated drop of pure Artificer’s Guild is fitted with a pendant clip to the verso. This enables you to wiggle a chain into it to use this lovely thing as a pendant. Albeit on the petite side at approx 2.1cm square, it has the most wonderful hand-crafted features and there are so many details packed into it.
There are sprays of leaves and clusters of berries and I love how the stalks are draped over the framework of the piece-all applied by hand so it is beautifully organic. The high-domed lapis is a lovely example, as it has lots of flecks of gold (pyrite in fact) within it. I love the deep-toothed setting for the silver, as it makes such a lovely contrast to the dark cobalt blue of the lapis stone. At the base of the setting, in true Artificer’s Guild design, there is the finest rope work twist silver detailing. Everything placed in just the right place. Please note the listing is for the pendant only, without a chain.
It is an appropriate example of concentrated design packed into an exquisite little thing. It measures approx 2.1cm square, as mentioned previously and is in excellent condition. I shall send in a new gift box by complimentary tracked and signed post. The box in the images is for display only. Thank you.
