An unusual and truly joyful antique festoon necklace, which is clearly handcrafted. The attention to detail is astonishing. Each of these pear shaped drops has been hand made to resemble emeralds I believe. A fabulous colour to each and they are slightly different in their swirls and interest within the stones. Each has a top section which includes superb filigree work with tiny, fine rope work design silver. An absolute joy to inspect with a loupe, as you can see all of the little weaving and attaching that was done by hand. Incredible!
I love this colour as green is often more difficult to find in this type of festoon necklace. I would describe this green as a sea green and is not as dark as it seemed to come across in several of the images. Large round link and a circular bolt fastener, stamped STERLING.
The drop section measures approx 4cm and the length of the chain is approx 41cm (16 inches). I will send by Special Delivery within the UK or else Int’l tracked and signed overseas. Thank you!
