Description
A hugely pretty Instone brooch with hand-tooled long leaves and tendrils draped around the main structure of the brooch. It was created in the c1930 era. The graduated, faceted pastes are wonderfully vivid in colour and each is set in typical Instone manner, at different angles to the last. The topaz blue pastes are in excellent order and are just such a startling hue of blue; very beautiful.
Hand-crafted so that each leaf has been placed by hand and organised around the three stones. In excellent condition, it retains its original pin and safety catch. A useful size too, at approx 5.2cm wide. A very pretty piece and instantly recognisable as a Bernard design.
