A beautiful Belle Epoque antique necklace from the c1910 era. It is everything you would wish for an authentic necklace from the era, including having its original chains with barrel fastener. The design is light, sparkling and sinuous with those fluted ribbon-like ouches, the bow at the top and a central flower motif.
A lovely example in excellent condition. I love the bright sparkling diamond pastes and the touch of vivid green with the flowers picked out, as well as a curved line of 4 green stones beneath it. The pearl drop adds that lovely articulated touch as you move.
Timelessly elegant necklace crafted in silver, with European maker’s marks to the verso. One looks like the Martin Mayer wheel stamp and I can see a letter M but otherwise I am not able to see the full marks. We could, therefore, be looking at Germany for its manufacture.
The pendant drop is approx 5.6cm and the wearable length of the chain is approx 43cm (16.75 inches).
