Description

A lovely, antique Arts and Crafts necklace in sterling silver, which is attributed to the Artificers’ Guild c1910. This very beautiful necklet (as it is not chunky but rather petite in size) features many of the motifs that we find in Artificers’ Guild pieces, from the ropework circles, tiny silver balls used either side of links, to the very stylised triple leaf design in some of the panels. A lovely thing.

I love the double drop element to the pendant with articulation from that extra cruciform drop. I also love the small silver links between each panel that are decorated with a flattened rivet motif, that you do see on some of these lovely antique pieces. The blue stones seemed to be chalcedony but perhaps could be foiled pastes, so that you do get that shift in hues as the necklace moves. It retains its original chain which has an alternate oval link and then S link. It has a large S catch as a fastener.

In excellent order and ready to wear or else gift. The drop section measures approx 3.8cm in height and the chain measures approx 44cm (17.5 inches).

I shall send in a new gift box, as the box in the images is for display. Complimentary tracked and signed post is included. thank you.
