Description
A really elegant and well-constructed flower spray brooch c1930s, which works beautifully as a pendant too. Hand-tooled leaves are placed at strategic points on the open-work structure. A beautiful thing, which I love as a pendant with a chain wrapped around the pin. I have demonstrated by using my own gold chain but that is not included in the sale. This brooch / pendant is fine and sleek and not at all clunky; there is such a lightness to the design and the gem stones have been well-selected to complement each other strongly. Very strongly sits within the Arts and Crafts genre.
Seven stones in all including tourmalines, smoky quartz, red spinel and pastes. Each stone is faceted and lively when the light touches it. No marking but tests positive for 15ct gold on silver. An exquisite little design which measures approx 5cm by 2.5cm. In excellent condition and ready to wear.
