A delicious three-sectioned Arts and Crafts statement necklace, hand crafted in the c1930 era and firmly attributed to Dorrie Nossiter. It is a lovely example of hand wrought A&C jewellery, and displays a beautiful blue enamel disc at its heart. It is a very attractive design using predominantly a blue and white palette. An attractive necklace, in original condition and surely a one-off piece.
The top section consists of an engraved fan motif which is actually the bale (I have seen this in another of Dorrie’s pieces before), as well as a doubled silver wire scrolled design, in which two chalcedony stones are nestled. It is connected to the central plaque by way of two sets of links. Three further chalcedonies and two blister pearls are set in the arrangement, which also includes typical Dorrie spirals and single silver balls.
An oval blister pearl is set as a drop below the central plaque and adds another touch of articulation to the whole design. It retains its original hand-crafted toggle fastener, also decorated with silver balls.
The pendant height measures approx 8.8cm and the length of the chain is just over 39cm ( 15.5 inches). In excellent condition and ready to wear or else gift. A little patina which you could polish further if desired.
I shall send by special delivery within the UK or else by express courier internationally. Please note the boxes in the images are not included but I will package her in a new necklace presentation box. Thank you.
