Description

A lovely, striking Art Nouveau design in clearly stamped 9ct yellow gold, being very reminiscent of a Murrle Bennett design. By an english jeweller and carrying the maker’s mark of what looks like J.A & S, a Birmingham jeweller.

This pendant exemplifies the wonderful Art Nouveau designs of the day, with its sinuous whiplash lines, beautifully colourful opals and there is even a heart motif at the bottom of the pendant. I am not sure if there was originally a drop on this pendant – hard to tell, although it makes a perfect statement in isolation. It has a large gold bale so you could mix and match the chains you use with it. I will include the old gold chain seen in the images, for transit as it is always better to receive a pendant on some type of chain than with none.

This lovely thing measures approx 4.7cm in height, including the bale. Clear marks as mentioned to the verso. In pleasing condition.

I will send in a new gift box (not the boxes shown in the images) and send by Tracked and Signed post. Thank you!
