A superior Arts and Crafts ring c1900, clearly by an important maker. The craftspersonship is exquisite and the details show a high level of silversmithing mastery. I have seen these three-petalled gold flowers on a design before, I just can’t quite remember who the maker is, but I feel sure it is an important maker.

The quality is fabulous-right down to the triple band of the ring, which has a band of gold sandwiched between two silver bands-it looks so accomplished. There are acanthus leaves in gold to the shoulder of the ring on each side and I absolutely love how the end meeting the rectangular lapis stone, is curled up. One tiny little gold ball is placed to either side of the leaf to finish it. Such wonderful detailing.

The elongated navette-shape structure allows for the placement of a three-petalled flower in gold, at both the top and bottom of the stone. It is a wonderful ring, with lots of gold touches and a shimmer of gold in the lapis too. Beautiful. The face of the ring measures approx 2.6cm in length so it looks very flattering on the finger. It measures as approx size UK N.5 (US 6.75 to 7).

In ready-t-wear or gift condition. Some wear to the lapis, in line with her age and everything with the gold and silver work is perfect. A joyful piece!

I shall send to you in a new ring box and by complimentary tracked and signed post. Thank you.
