Description

A very rare pair of Edwardian earrings c1910 in a truly captivating design, that are both elegant and flattering to wear. They are clearly hallmarked with the old Edwardian “9CT” stamp on the drops of both earrings. Rare to the market and just lovely things.

A mille grain set, sparkling faceted peridot sits at the lobe and from that is suspended the main section of the earring. There is a charming pagoda decorative detail at the top, from which three gold strands are linked. I call it a “waterfall” design, where the vertical lines draw the eye to the drops of seed pearls set in different places. The central strand also has a pear-shaped peridot set into it. Again, this has a fine mille grain finish. I hope you can see immediately from the images that they are a beautiful pair of earrings.

In superb condition, the height of the drop from the top of the top peridot is approx 3.3cm. Stamped “9CT”. Stones have been tested as peridots and pearls.

I shall send in a new gift box to protect them well and by tracked and signed postage internationally or else by Special Delivery within the UK. Thank you.
