Description
This is a beautiful find, with foliate and tendril detailing I have come across before on Guild of Handicraft attributed pieces. Crafted by hand in the c1905 era, this is a superb example of a smaller pendant having a strong and hugely attractive design. Moonstones as the centres to flowers and also a heart-shaped moonstone…swoon. The moonstones as you can see, are a lovely light blue with darker blue flashes when you move the pendant. It is a wonderful, wonderful thing, which exudes romance
At first I considered the bale a newer addition but on closer inspection, it does look original to the piece. The hand-wrought foliate and flowers detailing is exquisite. It comes alive when the pendant moves and the moonstones start to shimmer. That amazing heart-shaped moonstone in the centre is dreamy and the drop, also decorated with leaves and a further scalloped-set moonstone, adds a further touch of articulation to the whole pendant.
The pendant, including bale, measures approx 4.7cm. It is a joy to flip her over and study the verso. The work of the silversmith is exquisite. I have a modern sterling silver chain I can include free of charge for you-that measures approx 40 cm (15.75 inches). In pleasing condition.
I shall send by Tracked and signed post in a new gift box, as the boxes in the images are for display only. Thank you.
