This is a lovely piece of Arts and Crafts jewellery, c1900 by Liberty & Co of London. It is clearly a piece by William Hair Haseler who made beautiful pieces for them over quite a few years. This lovely pendant has such a lot going on and the dots of green enamel against the creamy white of the central pearl are amazing!
An intricate design, with tiny leaves and small silver balls of silver in place around each enamel feature, as well as 6 of them dotted around the central setting for the pearl.
A beautiful and typically organic Arts and Crafts design, made even more lovely by the selection of bright apple green enamel versus the pearl.
The pendant measures approx 3cm in height, including the bale and the chain measures approx 40cm (a tiny touch under 16 inches) in length. No marks on either, but this is a confirmed Liberty design. In pleasing condition…a tiny dot of enamel missing / damage which may actually be original in its production. Overall super. An all round beautiful necklace!
