Description
A fabulous bracelet from the c1910 Edwardian era. It is an enchanting thing, not least because finding striking zircons like this is such a rarity. They have that amazing deep turquoise colour and are beautifully faceted to bounce light around easily. They really are wonderful stones. Please check sizing below as she is typically of Edwardian dimensions and suitable for small wrists.
This bracelet is of fine quality in all of its construction too. Each stone has lots of tiny rose gold claws holding it in place, as well as finely worked gallery settings, graduated in size matching the stones. You can see the quality on the side view of the gallery settings. Between each stone is a tiny gold hinge, ensuring that there is fluidity of movement and a comfortable fit when the bracelet is worn. The gold links are wider than on other similar period examples I have seen, so be assured it is definitely a finer example than most.
In such pleasing condition, having just been polished by my jeweller. He also replaced the tongue catch in 9ct gold as the original had deteriorated and we wanted to ensure her safety over the coming years. There is a 9ct gold safety chain too. It is a diminutive size so would fit a small wrist, unless you wished to get an extender chain from your jeweller to increase its size. It measures approx 15cm (a little under 6 inches) in length. No markings (not unusual for such an antique piece) but the gold has been tested, as have the zircons, which have only light wear…hurrah!
I shall send in a gift box by Special Delivery within the UK or else by International Express courier. Boxes in the images are for display only and are not included.
