Description

A beautiful rarity, a hand-crafted English Arts and Crafts bracelet from the c1900 era, featuring hand-crafted panels of a Galleon ship. There are remnants of the Lion Passant stamp on the verso of the silver panels. It is a wonderful thing!

Arts and Crafts bracelets from this era are rare things to find and I love that this particular example displays the Galleon ship motif, popular in the c1900 era. The bracelet consists of four of these petite, beautiful panels, as well as a fifth one mounted to the original box clasp. How lovely to have that all intact too. There are three oval cabochons of Carnelian, bezel set onto closed-back settings. They are that translucent, almost liquid in appearance, orangey brown colour that we love so much with carnelians. I love that you can clearly see that each has been hand set individually in their bezel settings.

In lovely condition (maybe some patina so it would polish further-I prefer a little to remain like this as it adds depth the the small Galleon panels). It is approx 1.3cm wide by approx 19cm (7.5 inches) in length. All in pleasing condition, even the stones and the catch snaps shut healthily. It is a lovely bracelet-very tactile and such a rare thing.

I shall send in a new gift box by complimentary Special Delivery within the UK or by International Tracked and Signed. Boxes in the photos are for display only but I will send the bracelet in another box. Thank you. Ref:crl
