A wonderfully designed, rare Bernard Instone bracelet from the c1930 era, which is the only such example I have come across. The use of citrines in different shades (one a more lemon shade and the other more honey citrine) adds to the successful execution of this piece. Six oval foliate panels, with three panels accommodating very large faceted lemon citrines and the other three having a different design with one oval and four smaller oval citrines. Those are more of a honey shade. Designed with each panel curving slightly to sit well on the wrist. It is an impressive, sparkling Instone homage to citrines.
I adore how each one of three panels that initially look the same, all differ slightly, in the placement of the leaves. The citrines are full of colour and sparkle, all stones in excellent condition too. Small silver links, decorated with tiny balls representing a simple flower motif, connect each of the panels. Each link is decorated heavily with Instone draped leaves and curled tendrils. Flip her over and look at the extremely neat work to the verso- which is another delightful feature of Bernard Instone’s work.
A romantic and naturalistic piece and such a scarcity, it is a wow of a find and in fabulous condition. Measuring approx 18.5 cm (7.25 inches) in length. In all original condition (clearly having been so well looked after since her creation) and even retaining the original silver safety chain to give you extra peace of mind when you wear this beautiful thing.
I will send by Special delivery within the UK or else by DHL express courier internationally. Box in the images is for display only – thank you.
