Fabulous to find such an impressive sterling silver necklace design by husband and wife Arts and Crafts designers / makers Charles and Gladys Mumford. All crafted by hand, this honey citrines bracelet has all of the typical Mumford touches you would hope to find; hand wrought simple split leaves, spirals and stones set with copious square, angular teeth.
Crafted in the c1950 era, this is a treat of a find, as it is much more usual to find Mumford brooches or else plain silver leaves bracelets. These particularly large, faceted honey citrines are open-backed and very sparkly. There are five graduated citrines, each set on an oval plaque, each decorated with leaves and spirals. It is a lovely piece in excellent condition, even retaining its original safety chain. The largest panel in the centre is hung vertically, whereas the others are set horizontally along the chain.
The pendant drop measures approx 2.7cm and the wearable length of the chain is approx 43cm (17 inches) in length. Please note I am selling the bracelet you can see in a few of the images, separately.
