A fabulously rare and beautiful moonstones Arts and Crafts bracelet, which was by William Hair Haseler for Liberty & Co, c1900-1905. I have come across a necklace featuring the same intricate links as on this bracelet but there are certainly not many pieces with this design at all. A beauty of a bracelet.
Five of these intricate silver interwoven links, with Haseler’s characteristic edging with a straight line of silver and then those flattened, typical coils. There are four oval, domed Ceylon blue moonstones set in a fine mille grain setting, carefully executed by the jeweller. Lovely to see there is still a partial “WHH” stamp visible on a tint little silver plaque to the verso of one of the links. A signed piece- hurrah!
It is always tricky to find Arts and Crafts’ bracelets as there were many more pendants and necklaces made in this genre, so this is a lovely find. Not too chunky but rather elegant and well-proportioned. She measures approx 18cm (a touch over 7 inches) in length.
I shall send in a new gift box as the boxes in my images are for display only. I will send by International courier Express or by Special Delivery within the UK, free of charge. Thank you!
