Description
A wonderfully unique, hand-crafted silver Arts and Crafts necklace with matching spacers very much rooted in the c1900 era. It is unsigned but is typical for English pieces of that time. I love, love, love the matching heart-shaped spacers, two to each side of the chain. The central plaque is also rather larger than you usually find, so it does make a striking impression when you wear it. It’s a lovely thing!
The central heart-shaped plaque is so lovely, with it’s cut out sections and the MOP set above the pale green hardstone (could be green onyx), which has a number of interesting inclusions. Further matching stones are set at the centre of each of the four spacers. The main plaque and spacers have been hammered by hand (planished). The chain looks original, asides from the clasp which has been replaced at some point.
The main pendant measures approx 4.4cm in height and the wearable length of the necklace is approx 45cm (17.75 inches).It is in super condition and ready to wear. A striking and beautifully individual piece that will get noticed.
