Description
A beautiful, statement ring which is at least vintage and which looks hand crafted. It has the typical double band you would expect to see on an Arts and Crafts ring. The design is outstanding. The shoulders are elevated so that the silver elevates the face on either side to promote the flower head design.
Thought about in so many ways, even down to the alternating petals, done either as plain silver or else with cut out tear-shaped chrysoprase stones. I LOVE that one shoulder is set with a stone and the way the alternation works-the other shoulder has the stone. These five chrysoprase petals, along with the five silver petals all lead the eye to the large, rounded chrysoprase cabochon at the centre of this daisy flower. Chrysoprase and silver is one of my favourite combinations- they just look so beautiful together. Organic, strong and striking. I cannot get Sibyl Dunlop out of my head when I try this ring on – it is so very similar to her designs, although I believe this to be a little later.
It measures as a UK P.5 (approx US size 8).
A cheery and beautiful thing! In pleasing order-some patine on the inside of the face as you can see. I prefer to leave it.
