This is a lovely piece of Arts and Crafts jewellery, c1900 made for retail at Liberty & Co of London, and most likely from the workshop of William Hair Haseler. It features a lovely round moonstone and has its original mother-of-pearl, unlike one or two others I have seen over the years that have not retained their drop.
I love the design of this pendant…it is fine, understated but absolutely eye catching nevertheless, especially due to the delicate intertwining of the silver in the halo around the moonstone. The stone is round and domed, with a blue shimmer at the top of the stone when you move it around. I love the fine millegrain setting that has been delicately crafted for that central stone.
The lightness and elegance of the design is heightened by the delicious round drop, featuring a white mother-of-pearl cabochon. With its typical triangular-shaped Liberty & Co bale, this is a beauty of a pendant and a confirmed Liberty design.
The pendant measures approx 4cm in height, including the bale. The chain in a few of the images is not included- it is a listing for the pendant only.
I will package carefully and post with Special Delivery or else International Tracked and Signed. The box in the images is not included but I will package in a new gift box. Thank you! Ref:cvi
