Description

A truly sumptuous antique platinum Art Deco ring from the late 1920s to 1930 era, which is a wonderful design with 8 diamonds, totalling 1.25ct.  I have never come across such a design but I have to say it is so evocative of the sophistication and clean lines of the Art Deco era. The 8 diamonds are set into a channel / plaque which sits wonderfully low to the finger. Tiny claws keep the diamonds snug in their settings. A beautifully understated, yet eye-catchingly elegant ring of generous proportions. Someone is going to be delighted with her!

The diamonds are bright, sparkly and well-matched. As you can see, they are also of a good size to be seen individually. There is pure understated elegance with this ring-with the non-fussy low to the finger design, with the diamonds sitting cleanly in a channelled section and also with the way the solid platinum band seems to attach to the diamond plaque by a “column” detail at each shoulder. So very Art Deco and so very special. It is a heavy, substantial, high quality ring weighing approx 6.2g. Solid platinum and diamonds all verified in a jeweller’s valuation certificate. He is a member of the UK’s National Association of Jewellers. Valued at £3,000.

Stamped “PLAT” on the inside of the band and in superb condition-she is a true Art Deco jewel of beautiful design. She may have been resized in the past and now measures approx UK size P.5 (US size 8). She has just been professionally cleaned so is ready to wear or else to gift to an extremely lucky recipient.

I shall send in a new gift box by complimentary express courier internationally of else by special delivery within the UK. Box in the images is for display only. Thank you.
