Description
An authentic late 1920s Art Deco era solid platinum wedding band with Celtic decorations in a cut-out design. It looks like a Celtic infinity knot design to me. It is a heavy ring, weighing approx 5.2g and is in a larger size, having been resized in the past (please read the details on the resizing below). It is always lovely to find a rarer design in an Art Deco ring and crafted in platinum too.
This lovely thing measures as approx UK size S (US size 9). I have tried it on my thumb and it is comfortable even worn there. It measures approx 4mm wide. Although I would describe it as in good condition, there is evidence of resizing, done historically. It is noticeable because of the cut-out nature of the ring. I have taken some images to show you the resizing internally and externally. It just means you wear the ring with that at the back so it is not seen. She is not perfect but she has a history and is strong and sturdy to wear. A ring with a history with oh so much more life left in her. You could resize smaller of course, and take out the evidence of the last resizing-that’s an option if the ring is too large for you.
