Description
A wonderfully attractive enamel and silver necklace, designed by Sheila Fleet of the Orkney Isles in Scotland. Her jewellery is sought-after and I am sure this fabulous torque will disappear to its new home very quickly. The pendant is enamelled in wonderfully bright blues, ranging from a dark midnight blue to light turquoise. The colours are, of course, perfect for this piece from the range entitled “Pentland Waves”. It comes in its original black Sheila Fleet wallet. I also have the matching brooch and earrings listed for sale separately if you fancy the complete parure. Please just drop me a line and I will see what I can do pricewise for you, if that is the case.
The movement created by these waves is beautiful. You get a real sense of Sheila’s own intimacy with the sea around the Orkneys, from which she draws her inspiration. A striking, naturalistic design, that has a cut-out section too and those vivid colours- well, it is a lovely piece.
It carries the maker’s mark for Sheila Fleet (SD -for Sheila Deerness-her maiden name) and also the stamp for the assay office in Edinburgh. The round pendant measures approx 3.4cm in diameter and the flexible torque wire measures approx 16.5 inches (42cm) in length. In pleasing condition. Please note this listing is for the torque necklace only.
The necklace will be sent by Special Delivery or else by International tracked and signed. Thank you!
