Description

A rare and early ring, that has the design features of Bernard’s earlier pieces from the 1920s and which, oozes the quality make of the earlier designs. A visually stunning ring which focusses on a central clover motif, using navette and teardrop shaped jade cabochons They are glossy and vivid in colour. The four stones are claw set at the cardinal positions, with superbly and precisely executed leaf details wrapping up the complete design. I have never seen this design before and so, it may well be the only one in existence.

Even the two hand-tooled tiny leaves placed at the shoulders are exquisite…such fineness in the touch and application. How amazing does the ring look on the finger! It is stunning and because of the clever curved construction (again-typical in Bernard’s best pieces) it sits superbly on the finger. It is a statement ring indeed.
I love the tiny silver ball detailing set at points between the face of the ring and the gallery detailing below it. Observe the clean lines and neatness to the verso of the ring too. Hand-crafted but unbelievably neat and tidy hand-crafted. Typical Mr Instone!

In pristine condition, the ring measures as approx UK P (approx US 7.75). A sumptuous and rare piece. Unmarked as much of the earlier things were….Bernard did not see a need to sign much of his work however, one of the clearest examples of his work and it really should be celebrated.

I will send in a new gift box as the boxes in the images are for display only. Complimentary international courier or else Special Delivery within the UK. Thank you.
