A lovely Dorrie Nossiter sterling silver and carnelian beads necklace with crystal rondelles, crafted in the c1930 era. Pleasingly, it also comes with the original Dorrie gem studded box clasp, displaying her typical coils and silver balls motifs. The carnelian set on the clasp is closed-backed so the colour is even more intense. I love how carnelians possess that sort of “glowing” quality.
This necklace is a great length and oh so wearable, at approx 47cm (approx 18.5 inches) It is super to find one that you could wear for a whole host of occasions, including everyday use with a tee or a top. Sometimes Dorrie’s beaded necklaces are a sautoir length, which is a little more tricky to wear for daytime use.
In excellent condition, with one teeny little rondelle missing…right at the back. You absolutely don’t notice it but mentioned for accuracy. All carnelians present and correct and undamaged. Clasp in super condition too.
