A lovely, slightly longer length (approx 46cm /18 inches) Victorian T-bar and dog clips necklace with such an attractive chain. Each link in this chain, whether the small round ones or else the lovely longer links with a slight twist, are stamped with the Lion Passant stamp.
The necklace dates from 1889 and is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, for the firm of William Thorneywork, Northampton Street, Birmingham.
A lovely, more unusual chain which feels substantial too, at approx 28.4g in total. In pleasing condition. It would polish further I am sure, as I have only given it a cursory polish.
