Description
A very attractive early Sibyl attributed piece, c1930, which features a central chrysoprase stone and four foiled moonstones in an openwork design in silver. It is a very lovely piece where the foiled moonstones look aqua green from some angles, however, if you move the pendant section around you can see the blue shimmer of the moonstones at the top of the stone.
I love the four open work pieces at the cardinal points, with a stylised flower and a pair of leaves set below the flower. The chain is also original and it is beautiful. A typical, intricate A&C chain in silver (I have seen this chain on both Sibyl and Amy pieces before) which holds the pendant very much at the front of the design. The chain is continuous, meaning that you just pop the necklace over your head to wear it. The verso is flat, smooth and is in keeping with Sibyl’s work generally.
The shades of green in this piece are so eye-catching and also, the pendant is a comfortable size without it being rather on the large size as with some other pieces. The pendant measures approx 5.8cm by 4.8cm and the chain measures approx 62.5cm. It is a rather beautiful, light ethereal necklace.
I shall send in a necklace presentation box by Special Delivery within the UK or else by International Express courier. Boxes in the images are for display only and are not included.
