A very attractive hand-crafted ring, which is so unusual. It seems like a little crown on your finger. There are no markings and I am unable to date it, however, it does have good age to it. H.G. Murphy created a few similar rings with a triangular form and three tiny balls in the peak but that is as close a design to this that I have found. The sparkle of those pink and blue sapphires, with the gold detailing all around, makes this ring sing out.
The oval pink sapphire has a typical A&C ropework detail at the base of its setting, with the three blue sapphires being bezel-set. The colours of the stones together are just wonderful. There is a tiny ropework edge that runs all the way around the ring. In fact the gold highlighted detailing runs all the way around the band, as you can see in the images. I love the 3D effect of the scroll and ball detailing as it is elevated from the silver base, giving real depth to the decoration.
In pleasing condition, with stones all excellent, this is ready to wear and bring a smile to your face. It measures as approx UK size L.5 (US size 6).
