Description

This is one of the prettiest designs I have come across in a while on one of these lovely Belle Epoque necklaces. Crafted in the c1910 era, this example retains its original silver chain and barrel clasp fastener. There are several stamps to the verso, one being a number and the other being a tiny maker’s mark. Possibly French?

The central round plaque section is done in an open work design, with various halos around the central yellow paste. The final halo is that of a representation of laurel leaves. Suspended below the centre of that panel is a double bow and ribbon design, flanked on either side by an elongated navette-shaped drop, the centre of which is a yellow paste and that is surrounded by marcasites. Such a wonderful design!

All stones are present, thankfully and this beautiful necklace is ready to wear. In pleasing condition-there may have been a further drop to the central bow, but for me I love the design JUST LIKE THIS. It is beautiful. The drop of the pendant is approx 4cm and the wearable length of the chain is approx 43.5cm (17.25 inches).

I shall send by complimentary tracked and signed post. A new gift box will be supplied as the box in the images is for disaplay only. Thank you.
